- SAT Prep classes typically run $1,100 for a class and $100-$200 an hour for individual tutoring; Most students and families can’t afford this and suffer because they are put at a disadvantage.
- Students aren’t engaged as much as they should be . . . they’re spending more time online and on their phone instead of reading
- Studying often isn’t an interactive experience, where students can learn with their family, friends, and classmates
- Relate-able content, such as pop culture, music, and sports helps students learn . . . this isn’t emphasized enough
MISSION – To harness the viral power of social media, the scope of the internet and the fun of game play to make education rewarding, interactive, effective and available to all for free.
FORMULA – Social Connectivity + Pop Culture + Game Play = Numbskull
SO WHAT IS IT - Well, it’s a social media based application that allows students to:
- Take quizzes created by Numbskulls Professional test creators
- Upload quizzes for classes and tests that they have
- Challenge friends, family, classmates to quizzes to see who is “tops”
- Create a team to challenge other teams. Your math class can challenge your friends class.
- Create a league, similar to a fantasy league, to see how you rank against your friends
- Review quizzes ans see how you’ve progressed
- Gain points for correct answers and create questions . . . these points will hopefully payout in prizes and scholarships
